Finally an EDM Show You'll Want to Watch
If you’re an electronic music fan who was disappointed(like most) after watching the infamous Zac Efron movie, We are Your Friends, look no further. Netflix recently announced they will be airing an original EDM series called Momentum this upcoming fall. Unlike We are Your Friends, Momentum plans to create an accurate depiction of EDM culture, hitting on everything from production, DJing, concerts, fame, and the industry as a whole.
The show will follow main character and experimental producer Michael Morris and his rise to sudden fame. A struggling blue collar man who produced music as a hobby was given a once in a lifetime chance when one of his songs was leaked onto the internet. Achieving hundreds of thousands of views and almost overnight success, a man who was once struggling to get by was suddenly the talk of world.
The series, which was created by talented writer and producer Michael C. Morello, is based on a true story and will take place in modern day NYC. The series has already gained a lot of attention as so many were disappointed with We are Your Friends and truly wanting more out of an EDM movie or series.
What’s your opinion of Momentum? We’d love to hear! Leave your comments below.
