Electric For Life Hits NYC

New Year’s Eve is notably one of the most exciting nights of the year, especially here in New York City. The streets are crowded with thousands of people and the clubs and bars become more popular than ever before. It truly is a magical time of year where the possibilities are endless and being bored simply isn’t an option. With so many things to do it may be hard to narrow it down but I would like to highlight one show that, in my mind, reigns supreme over the rest. Gareth Emery’s Electric For Life.

Widely known for his mastery of trance music, Gareth Emery is no newbie to the EDM scene. He has been producing/DJing for a number of years and has been recognized as one of the top DJs in DJ Mag’s top 100 nearly every year since 2006. He’s collaborated with so many big names and is responsible for influencing and bringing in so many artists we listen to today. That all being said, his mark on the EDM community is huge and shows no signs of stopping.

The idea of Electric For Life is very similar to Armin Van Buuren’s A State of Trance. It’s a weekly radio show that features a wide range of electronic music. Much like A State of Trance, there will be a weekly “track of the week” hand selected by Gareth Emery and another track that’s voted in by listeners. Electric For Life broadcasts from Satellite Radio, online, or by podcast every Tuesday at 12:00 (PT).

Besides being a radio show, Electric For Life is also its own tour. The tour is currently heading to cities all across the world featuring a wide variety of different artists. Gareth Emery has announced that he will be playing a special show on New Year’s Eve right here in NYC. He will be brining popular artists Christina Novelli, Dan Stone, Standerwick, and Will Atkinson with him. This will be a show you don’t want to miss so don’t wait too long to buy tickets!
