Show Preview: Flume World Tour
With the May 2016 release of his new album ‘Skin,’ Flume announced that he would be spending most of this year bringing his new live show to a bunch of cities around the world.
Along with his world tour, Flume is bringing support from many other artists such as Alunageorge, Cashmere Cat, Eprom, Hermitude, Shlohmo, Tokimonsta, Vince Staples, and many more.
Since the release of his first self-titled album ‘Flume’ in 2012, the Australian born DJ has been peaking at number one on the ARIA charts. The charts are a record of Australia’s highest selling singles and albums in various genres. Due to the popularity from his song ‘Never Be Like You’ in the United States, Flume was given a platinum record on August 19, 2016.
Out of the six shows that he had for California; five out of six have been sold out. The last show that hasn’t sold out yet, but definitely will, is going to be at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on September 22, 2016.
Flume focuses on the euphoric feel with a touch of hip hop while making his music. This causes him to produce sounds that are unique and have never been heard of before. Not only is he touring with new music, but he also brings a new setup which features a handful of mini LED-equipped glass cubes which come together to form a cube, along with stunning visuals of his album art playing in the background during his shows. Flume definitely brings the feels and you won’t want to miss out on his show in San Francisco.
